HotRod Frenzy!

Let's talk about HotRods!
This 1939 Chevy Coupe beauty has all of the parts and pieces any hotrodder would love. It has a ZZ3-350 motor and a 700R4 transmission. It sports a 9 inch/411 gears for speedy take-offs. All tweed interior. The paint is 1969 Opal GT flame red. One of the Classics.
I love to go on Sunday drives and cruises. Car shows are at the top of the list. This beautiful creation is a family affair!
Let's talk about why cars are so fun, exciting and romantic. Let's keep the love of cars alive and help the youngsters grow to appreciate the Classic Automobiles and why this passion endures!

  1. Hot Rods, Street Rods, Race Cars, Classic Cars, Custom Cars...all of these are cars to be remembered and appreciated. Each car is a work of art. Hot Rods differ from Street Rods by definition of Hot Rods are older years than Street Rods. Street Rods are sometimes called "Fat Fendered". Hot Rods are often known as "Roadsters". Hot Rods and Street Rods can cover years from the early 1920's to the 1970's. Hot Rods are appreciated by all age groups. Street Rods are as well. Muscle cars are known for their high powered motors. Muscle cars are often remembered by the 1960's and 1970's models.

Hot Rods, Street Rods, Muscle cars and Custom cars can all be Classic cars. The romance with the automobile can be appreciated by everyone. Share your romance and love on this site! You too have a story to tell. :)

  2. Bob,
Well, we'll try this again. Congratulations on your blog. I hope it it develops into an active and lively discussion format for those of us in the hobby.

It's funny how great minds think alike. I am starting up something similar to your blog. I take a lot of pictures at the shows that we attend and post them on www.webshots.com and as you know on car crazy central. I was telling a friend of mine, who creates websites, how much traffic I was getting on my webshots postings (thousands in weeks)and he said that we ought to create my own webste. So we did. It is: www.kruznkorner.com. The website is established but still under construction. I am not sure how long it's going to take. It is a pretty complex process bringing everything I want in it together in a cmprehensive and comprehendable way. check it out once in a while and check our progress.

Little Lulu is going to have a little more work done to her to blend the style a bit better. she has aftermarket steel running boards that we have never been happy with. They are too straght lined and the outer upper edge has too sharp of a bend radius. I bought some fiberglass boards from Supior Glass in Oregon (who have a reputation for quality glass work) and were terribly disappointed in the rough condition that they arrived in. My body man told me that he could modify my existing boards cheaper than fitting and finishing the glass boards. So back they went. He will form a new outer section with a big radius and a slight convex curve outword. This will blend much better to the curves of the fenders. Then he will take the joggle out of the stock radiator support strut and install a fiberglass radiator cover to hide the exposed upper area of the radiator. Every thing will then be painted to match Little Lulu's unidentifiable red color. This will complete the work on her. At least for this year. LOL
    Talk to you later.
